KCPD 'Open Trunk' Tactics Debated

A recent online clip was sent our way by KICK-ASS TKC READERS and it deserves a moment of consideration . . . Here's the takeaway from the online creator:

"Woah talk about endangering the public 🤦🏾‍♂️ what if someone with a mental illness just so happened to find this!"

However . . . Another commenter offers a unique perspective . . .

"They been doing that since we was kids. l assure u if u grab it they hopping out."

Thank goodness for online comments because we kinda forgot about that trick that was used to lock up more than a few old school TKC homies during the 90s . . . The bait even made an episode of COPS back in the day.

Upon viewing the clip a second time . . . It's pretty obvious that not-so-undercover trucks nearby MIGHT be lying in wait.

Again . . . This is old school local knowledge regarding fishing expeditions that evoke a smirk from most law abiding residents. Don't worry, we don't condone messing with any police investigation and we're CERTAIN that meth addicts don't take the time to read community news gossip blogs.

UPDATE . . .

Some readers dispute our take and we appreciate their perspective as well:

"It wasn’t a sting by the pd, I know that for a fact. It was a dumb-a$$ officer who went in for lunch and left it open with a gun in it. I know the officer's name, real question is what is the pd doing about it?"
