Kansas City Chiefs Abandon Arrowhead & Tomahawk Chop?!?

Recent news that Kansas City Chiefs are on their way out of Arrowhead has bigger implications than tax talk and political flexing. 

Today we think about the big picture and ongoing American culture war that has continually confronted & confounded Super Bowl champs.

To wit . . . 

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS MOVING OUT OF ARROWHEAD ALSO SIGNALS THE TEAM WILL FINALLY STOP THE CHOP!!!

Consider . . .

After playing days at Arrowhead are complete the team can pivot their name to a more generic version of the term "Chiefs" or maybe even change the moniker altogether and consign the controversial branding to the past. 

Either way . . .

The Native-American iconography associated with the team has outlived its relevance and the departure from Arrowhead signals that the franchise is finally ready to move forward. 

Out of Arrowhead . . . And with Native-American symbols stripped away . . . Old school fans will seem ridiculous and just a little bit hateful attempting to keep the "Tomahawk Chop" alive when new traditions will likely be encouraged for younger fans. 

Again . . .The big picture here is that CHANGE IS CONSTANT and the Chiefs seem to be embracing the future in another part of Kansas City or maybe even further.

Wherever the team lands . . .

We're certain that the team's controversial legacy of alleged disrespect against Native-American people will be consigned to the past.
