Jackson County Blames Russia For Ransomware Attack

International intrigue now surround the courthouse as many computer systems remain offline. 

For some, it might be a bit of a stretch to believe that Russia has 12th & Oak in its sights . . . Fact is, the courthouse was suffering EPIC lines and disorganization far before this haxxor hit job. 

And yet . . .

The Internets makes the world a much smaller place and ransomware has hit municipalities across the metro and the nation.

And so . . . Here's the word:  

Russian hackers were behind the attack.

The county administrator told KMBC today that a Russian group, whom he called a frequent player in this type of activity, was behind the attack that crippled the county's computer systems for the past week.

Because of that attack, realtors say some of their clients' deals are now on hold.

Days later, Jackson County ransomware attack delaying some real estate deals

Some Jackson County government offices will be closed - for at least another day or two - after last week's ransomware attack.
