Guv Kelly Tax Cut Package Stays Winning Over Kansas GOP Majority

Once again the Kansas GOP was outmaneuvered by the local political lady as the Super Majority couldn't galvanize enough support to push back the Governor.

"The Kansas House overrode that veto Friday with a bipartisan majority, leaving it to Senate consideration Monday. House leadership emphasized the need to get relief to Kansas taxpayers.

"Senators voted 26-14 Monday to override the veto, falling a single vote short of the required two-thirds majority. The Senate attempted to bring the issue back up for a second vote, but once again failed along the same lines. Many senators criticized the governor’s veto as political and urged the body to push the plan back through."
