This year Kansas City's favorite power couple Jason & Diana Kander have stepped back into the public spotlight with a story of incredible heroism and service in saving more than 300 Afghan refugees.
This Spring . . . Diana Kander shares a hyper-local message of hope & kindness from a local faith community.
Here's the word and more deets . . .
"To me refugees aren't just people who have faced hardship; they are some of the most resilient, determined individuals you'll ever meet. And our community is better off because of them.
JVS welcomed my family through their refugee resettlement program 35 years ago, and in the last year, they helped us welcome a family of Afghans with the same love, care and compassion I experienced. Today the staff might be different, but it's heartwarming to know that the mission and values have not changed from its founding 75 years ago! Please join me on May 2nd to celebrate this amazing organization and help it create another 75 years of impact." -Diana Kander, 2024 Global Table Emcee
