Patty Lewis Announces 2024 State Senate Campaign

Democrat Patty Lewis’ Campaign for Missouri Senate District 7

Kansas City, MO - Democratic State Representative Patty Lewis announces her intent to run for Missouri Senate District 7,when current State Senator Greg Razor’s nomination to the State Tax Commission is confirmed and he withdraws his name to run for re-election.

“For the past four years, I have had the honor of serving the constituents of the 25th House District. When I decided to run for office in 2018, I made a commitment to my community that I would always serve with integrity and with the best interests of the district in mind. As State Representative, I have stood up to the far-right supermajority time and time again. I’ve championed women’s reproductive rights, common sense gun reform, access to quality, affordable health care, workers’ rights, and equal opportunities for LGBTQ+ Missourians, and other marginalized individuals.”

“Our community deserves a State Senator who has experience making public policy, who has built the relationships here at home and in the Capitol to deliver for our district, and who has already been doing the hard work on behalf of the people of Kansas City — I am that candidate. Too much is at stake in the fight for our rights, fair wages, health care, and the safety of our children. We must elect a senator who can hit the ground running on day one.”

Patty is currently the only registered nurse serving in the Missouri General Assembly. She and her husband Aaron, live in Kansas City. Patty is a graduate of Rockhurst University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

She is the daughter of Rowena White and the late Jim White, former Democratic candidate for the 4th Congressional District.
