Tensions & Tempers Rise In Lee's Summit Amid Stadium Tax Talk

Kansas City sports victory sometimes inspires intense emotion in the heat of competition.

Remember that earlier this year otherwise affable souls Travis Kelce & Andy Reid shocked fans with a bit of sideline yelling that was easily resolved with Super Bowl victory.

Closer to home and at a recent Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce debate . . .

A LOCAL CAMPAIGN LEADER AGAINST THE TAX STARTED BEEF WITH A METRO KANSAS CITY UNION LEADER AS SUBURBAN DENIZENS LOOKED ON AGHAST!!!

Yes . . .

It was Tim smack talking Duke and getting the same in return.

We feel comfortable sharing this tidbit if only because most insiders are surprised the conversation has reached this pitch and everyone is already gossiping about it anyhoo . . . Also . . . The jawing thankfully didn't result in anything but raised voices which is pretty standard for a close vote like this one even if many of our suburbanite friends moved to the edge of the Earth in order to avoid these kinds of interactions.

Heretofore . . .

These two cowtown titans represent an elected official and THOUSANDS of local workers . . . So the "intense debate" is just a bit more important than your average fast food line shouting match.

Of course we'll be following more of the drama here at www.TonysKansasCity.com as the yelling will only get louder over Holy Week.
