Preston Smith Call-To-Action: Ask AG Bailey To File Case Against Jackson County Leaders

One of Kansas City's top tax fighter share this political perspective with his thousands of followers at the outset of the work week.

Here's what we like . . .

Preston Smith takes on social media chatter and encourages legal moves amid widespread frustration.

Here's his perspective and a link to more info . . .

"Last week I received a call from an attorney who was trying to figure out how to remove White and McCann Beatty from office, in the wake of the horrible shooting in Independence. The man who did the shooting was not justified in any way in what he did, but the root of the problem started when he refused/couldn't pay his taxes from 2019, and the property was sold on the courthouse steps. The attorney was concerned, as I am, that there are going to be more people just as desperate to take violent action against the County. I would not support or encourage that. There has to be another way.

"This might be the way.

"In 2023, Attorney General Andrew Bailey filed a quo warranto case against St. Louis prosecutor Kim Gardner for not fulfilling the duties of her elected office. She resigned two hours before the court hearing on the case was to take place . . . This is significant because if he has done this on one side of the state, perhaps he can do it again. In fact, he filed a similar lawsuit last year against a County coroner who was not doing his job. He, again, filed quo warranto against Iron County sheriff."
