Kansas City Royals Hall Of Fame Celebrates Bo Jackson 2024

For those of us with a sense of history . . .

Let's not forget that the slugger and historic baller was taunted mercilessly in this town when he first announced he would play for the Raiders . . . And many local yokel fans threw little plastic footballs on the field when the played. That REALLY HAPPENED and it's an under-reported reminder we always took seriously when judging the misguided instincts of many Kansas City sports fans.

Now . . .

History proves that many local sports fans are silly and one of our favorite player garners a well-deserved spot in local history . . .  

"The Royals announced that former All-Star outfielder Bo Jackson will be inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame on June 29, 2024, before Kansas City takes on Cleveland that afternoon.

"A multi-sport athlete, Jackson elected to pursue his professional baseball dreams in 1986 despite winning the Heisman Trophy as college football’s top player the year prior at Auburn."

Arguably one of the greatest athletes in American professional sports history will be permanently enshrined in Kansas City.
