Kansas City Royals Claims Exec Is 'Impediment To The Progress' Of Stadium Negotiations

No matter how this vote works out . . . It's important to notice an unprecedented fact of local life:

KANSAS CITY ROYALS & CHIEFS ARE NOW OPENLY ATTACKING THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE!!!

As far as local politics is concerned, this is unprecedented . . .

KC's "politeness" typically rules the political discourse and this outright criticism of the courthouse leader signals a stunning breakdown of communication between pro-sports leaders and politicos.

The bright side here is that the home team seem to be finding some middle-ground amongst the Legislature.

Here's the word:

Royals Executive Vice President Sarah Tourville mentioned White's opposition as a roadblock to the Royals' plans for years, hoping voters would recognize and vote yes.

"I would tell you that it's unfortunate that he's slowed this process down," she said. "He has been an impediment to the progress moving forward. But we're also grateful for the legislature. They allowed the voters to come out on April 2nd and make a decision for themselves."

She added she hopes "the voters recognize that whatever Frank's animosity is to the teams and to seeing this city continue to be transformed, that the voters go and vote yes."
