Kansas City Muslims Against War In Gaza

Sorry . . . The post title is kind of a given for many. 

However . . . 

We kind hesitated to post this one if only because faith community reaction is always kinda sketchy around this dump of a blog . . . However . . . We can't help but wonder if so many right-wing critics of the war will align with local Muslims in solidarity . . . Then again, expecting logical consistency from the Internets is always a mistake . . .

For those who aren't dedicated to hateration . . . Here's an interesting perspective . . .

However, with the war between Israel and Hamas in its fifth month — and with no ceasefire in sight — Ramadan feels different for some Kansas City Muslims this year.

Sara Jawhari, a Palestinian-American journalist from Kansas City, says it’s been challenging to feel the Ramadan spirit when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza face imminent famine.

“At the end of our fast at sunset…we get to come home to food, we get to come home to a roof over our heads...safety,” Jawhari told KCUR’s Up To Date.
