“The fact that 20 to 25 years of dedicated work and investment by thousands of individuals was suddenly going to be heavily impacted and potentially destroyed for many was unacceptable,” Rural Grit Happy Hour at The Brick organizer Kim Stanton said. Stanton mentions that many business owners in the district were not notified of plans prior to the public announcement, and even in the weeks after received no outreach from stadium representatives.
