Kansas City Country Club Plaza Crime Spikes As Mayor Ignores Crisis

Insiders tell our blog community . . .

The Plaza is basically dead on most weekday nights and there's very little customer traffic . . .

Sadly . . .

Thieves preying upon the embattled entertainment district have increased their effort.

Don't worry . . . It gets worse . . .

MAYOR Q'S OFFICE SEEMS FOCUSED ON NEW OWNERSHIP AS PLAZA MERCHANTS CRY OUT IN VAIN AS THEFTS SPIKE!!!

Sadly, the Summer doesn't bode well for biz on the Plaza.

Again . . .

Our blog community traces A LOT of this back to Mayor Q shouting "no justice, no peace" on the Plaza during 2020 BLM riots and basically saying to nearby merchants and residents that he didn't care about their well-being and valued "social justice" advocacy far more . . . Later, many of those same protesters burned cars, broke windows and battled police.

And so . .

Here's the latest report confirming the ongoing decline of the Country Club Plaza . . .

Spoke to the employee who was there when it happened and wanted to remain anonymous for safety reasons.

They said within the last month, the store has been hit about six times.

“It’s a little nerve racking for sure,” the employee said. “There may be times where someone comes in and you get hit and it’s just you.”

The response from 12th & Oak is just as annoying . . .

A spokesperson for the Mayor's office said: “The Country Club Plaza is an important part of Kansas City’s past, present, and future and mayor Lucas is committed to ensuring it continues to grow and improve. The city continues to have weekly discussions with the potential new owners about how to revive the Plaza and remains hopeful positive change is on the horizon.”
