Kansas City Chiefs Skimping On CBA?!?

Behind the scenes, on the QT and very hush, hush . . .

We've got inside word on how the CBA negotiations are going . . . Remember, for many urban voters the community benefits agreement is the "make or break" argument in order to secure a yes vote.

Why???

Critics of the plan justifiably rant about taxes and money for billionaires . . . BUT . . . A stellar community benefits agreement will put REAL MONEY IN URBAN NEIGHBORHOODS that will probably provide more investment for locals than a tattoo shop, some vegan restaurants and a couple of LGBT bars . . . Sorry.

Still . . .

From the perspective of the Chiefs . . . After winning back-to-back Super Bowls . . . They seemingly believe the case to keep them in town is OBVIOUS and only a fool would want to see them depart for another town.

Still . . .

This sales tax extension is a patchwork of interests cobbled together and insiders are worried about Kansas City's favorite pro-team holding out.

The big question . . .

WILL THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS INVEST MORE IN THE CBA BEYOND THEIR FAVES?!?

From what we've heard . . . The Royals are willing to spread around more cash whilst the Arrowhead front office seems a bit more "conservative" in their donations.

Of course, our www.TonysKansasCity.com blog community will note & link more as it happens or as soon as I wake up from a forthcoming and well-deserved nap . . .
