Expect More Community Activist Protest Against City Manager Brian Platt

We blogged this last night and noted a great deal of push back across social media to a contract extension which contradicts a great deal of community opposition. 

Like it or not . . . Here's the politics of this move: 

Kansas City's Black community leaders DESPISE Brian Platt and, obviously, want a leader more sympathetic to their plight. 

Over the past few years complaints involving Black female department leaders have resonated on the East side. 

Accordingly, despite hope the guy would move to Austin . . . Here's the latest . . .

"The KCMO City Council voted to offer Platt a contract extension after returning from a close session Thursday evening.".

KCMO City Council votes for mayor to negotiate contract extension with Brian Platt

The Kansas City, Missouri, City Council has authorized Mayor Quinton Lucas to negotiate a contract extension with City Manager Brian Platt through Aug. 1, 2027
