When first responders arrived, they said they found two men inside a vehicle who had both been suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene while the other was taken to a nearby hospital and remains in stable condition.
As of 10 p.m., no arrests had been made in the case. No further information such as possible suspects has been released as police continue to investigate. Anyone with information should report it to the Crime Stoppers Tips hotline at 816-474-8477.

Homicide investigation opens after late-night shooting in KCK leaves 1 dead
Police have opened a homicide investigation after a late-night double-shooting in a Kansas City, Kan., left one dead and another in a nearby hospital.
1 dead, 1 injured in KCK double shooting near 38th, State Avenue
KCK police officers responded to the shooting just before 8 p.m. in the area of N. 38th Street and State Avenue.
