Council Lady Parks Shaw Commits Righteous Double Cross Against City Manager?!?

Just a quick follow-up on Kansas City contract negotiations for the city manager's fancy new 12th & Oak contract . . . Here's what we noticed that was otherwise unreported . . . 

Council lady Parks-Shaw voted against the new contract for the city manager in a decision that sparked intense council divisions as Mayor Q's support for Brian Platt secured a victory.

From insiders talking to our www.TonysKansasCity.com blog community regarding the council lady's stance on the debate . . .

"She certainly didn't show the city manager much loyalty after 'a lot of help' he has given her." 

That's one way to look at it . . . OR . . . Maybe . . . 

This no vote against city manager Brian Platt works out well for the council lady because it demonstrates her independence. Some speculate that there is leverage over this council seat because Public Works Director Michael Shaw is the council lady's husband and reports to the city manager. HOWEVER, she can now point to this vote as a sign of independence. 

As always, it's up to voters about who to believe . . .
