"Organizers on Tuesday announced the nearly 70 acts Tuesday with the two-day June festival capped with performances by German rock band Milky Chance and 1990s pop trio and “Masked Singer” alumni Hanson (Friday, June 14); and crossover artist and singer songwriter Thundercat, indie country rocker Paul Cauthen, and New Orleans rapper and underground bounce innovator Big Freedia (Saturday, June 15).

"The prominence of Kansas City-area performers — from local favorites like the Back Alley Brass Band and vocalist Zee Underscore to “Black girl nerd” Love, Mae C. and funk friends The Whips — is intentional, according to event curators."

When Boulevardia's sprawling urban street festival returns to Crown Center and Washington Square Park this summer, dozens of local artists are expected to take the stage alongside national headliners like Hanson and Milky Chance.
