According to a release from the hospital, a pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run accident inside the parking garage at the University of Kansas Cancer Center in Westwood early Thursday.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office reported that the pedestrian was 94-year-old William Ward of Leawood, Kansas.
The sheriff’s office stated the driver had left the scene but was later found and taken in for questioning.
