Transit Dude David Johnson Fights Royals Crossroads Stadium Irony

For those won don't remember . . . David Johnson is the chair of the Kansas City Regional Transit Alliance, he's a Streetcar rep. and a member of the KC Crossroads Arts District Board. 

Most TKC readers know him from politically bullying toy train streetcar opponents AND THEN quickly hiding behind former Mayor Sly and blocking any replies via social media. 

Now . . .

SAVOR KANSAS CITY IRONY . . . DAVID JOHNSON QUICKLY STEPPED OUT TO LEAD OPPOSITION AGAINST KANSAS CITY ROYALS DOWNTOWN STADIUM PLANS!!!

Again . . . 

This might be ironic or maybe just hilarious because Mr. Johnson didn't have any problem walking all over the people who objected to how the streetcar was forced upon residents after losing a litany of popular votes and then hiding behind a mail-in ballot scheme to garner victory in a low turnout election. 

Now www.TonysKansasCity.com denizens notice . . .

Mr. Johnson finds himself on the other side of downtown development momentum. 

If passed . . . The new stadium is going to stick its thumb in everything the Crossroads has worked to build. 

Accordingly . . .

Here's one of many pleas for help from a dude who didn't have much mercy or sympathy for streetcar opponents when they protested for fair elections and neighborhood consideration . . .

"Important note! The @kccrossroads lobbied hard for a tax abatement (and subsequent renewal) for artists and art-related tenants. What do we value as a city for this neighborhood that put the KC on the national map?"
