Kansas Democratic Party Honcho Op/Ed Denounces Rising Antisemitism

The sentiment is worthwhile . . . Tragically, what typically happens is that the reaction to these screeds only serves to prove their premise . . . That the quotient of local hateration continues to rise.

"As the chair of the Kansas Democratic Party, as an American and as an advocate for justice, I strongly denounce and unequivocally stand against antisemitism in our country, which is surging at alarming rates.

"The Anti-Defamation League reported that in 2022 alone, antisemitic incidents rose 36%. This number has only increased following the events of Oct. 7, with the ADL reporting an increase of antisemitic incidents of more than 300% in just the first three weeks after Hamas’ terror attack on Israel. This trend has not abated in the ensuing months.

"Right here in our local communities, the Jewish Community Relations Bureau | AJC has tracked a 500% increase in reports of antisemitic incidents."
