Kansas City Never Voted On Toy Train Streetcar Down By The River

Here's an effort that was established without one bit of voter consent and only serves to assist a sketchy real estate scheme . . . On the bright side . . . They'll be having a party to celebrate this effort very soon:

"The $61 million project will cover 0.7 miles, connecting the current streetcar line from 3rd Street and Grand Boulevard to Berkley Riverfront Park.

"It's a project that's been in the works for years. After securing funding, crews delivered 200 tons of rail last March for the northern extension and awarded a construction contract late last year . . .

"Streetcar officials plan for the new extension to be operational in late 2025 or early 2026."
