Independence Center Disputes Royals Stadium Alternative Overtures

Politicos offered this embattled location as a compromise against the Royals moving further away from Eastern Jack and into downtown Kansas City. 

Mall leaders disputed the nation recently.

The reality is that this embattled retail outlet is LOSING BIG BUCKS EVERY YEAR and this invite is just another sign that hard times at the ground level endure for the metro low end.

"Media reports on Independence's outreach to the team, as discussed during a recent City Council meeting, should not alarm existing mall occupants, Holly Solomon, the center's director of marketing and leasing, wrote in a Friday letter to tenants. Despite the city's talk, Solomon's letter does not reference the Royals — who are pursuing a new stadium in downtown Kansas City — as part of coming plans to revitalize Independence Center."
