Here's How Kansas City Dump Homeless In Northeast Neighborhoods

For those who don't know . . . 

Zero KC is Kansas City's strategic plan to end homelessness and so far the effort has angered hundreds, if not thousands, of local homeowners. 

Basically, what we've seen from the effort besides giving out free hotel rooms is an ongoing push to direct every homeless person in the metro (and beyond) to the Northeast area of Kansas City. 

Now . . . 

Over weeks of discourse there is the mistaken impression that opponents of the impending "low-barrier" shelter are somehow hostile toward helping the less fortunate and people who desperately need a break. 

Nothing could be further from reality. 

Here's a better statement of their aims . . .

"We hope to get dispersed, supportive solutions, with a better model of care."
