Downtown Kansas City Royals Stadium Opponents Decry Jeff Roe

Political consultant Jeff Roe has recently come under fire once again from Kansas City activists, progressives and even tax fighters for his ALLEGED involvement in the campaign for Royals stadium.

Here's our basic disagreement with this sketchy premise . . .

JEFF ROE'S POLITICAL INFLUENCE DOMINATES KANSAS CITY IN BOTH PROGRESSIVE AND CONSERVATIVE CIRCLES!!!

Some of our younger friends still think this is 2004 and Mr. Roe is the mean-old-white-dude they can rage against . . . Here's the big problem with that . . .

JEFF ROE'S COMPANIES PROVIDE INFO & CAMPAIGN HELP TO MOST OF THIS COWTOWN'S POLITICOS!!!

Mayor Q's team has utilized Remington Research and so many other services provided by Mr. Roe. And so have most urban leaders adored by our revolving cast of progressive malcontents.

Basically, any Kansas City candidate who wants to do a mail campaign RIGHT has worked with Axiom whether they know it or not.

No Mr. Roe isn't the Keyser Söze of Kansas City politics . . . Everybody knows his formidable reputation. In fact, anybody who partakes in even a modicum of reading should understand Axiom's overwhelming influence in this town that has taken nearly two decades to establish.

Crossroads activists hoping to campaign against Jeff Roe are guilty of using OLD, OLD, OLD SCHOOL tactics first developed by cowtown political Machiavelli Steve Glorioso back when he had a job that was better than his current gig: Pushing up daises.

And that's our main beef . . .

The current campaign against Mr. Roe is outdated and doesn't understand that he is very much part of the Kansas City political mainstream on BOTH sides of the aisle. There isn't a "progressive" or "conservative" case against him because his Axiom operations dominates BOTH sides of the discourse in Kansas City. Ranting against Jeff Roe's involvement is just rehashing an argument aimed at SUCKERS who don't know how politics works around 12th & Oak.

If this is the best that the Crossroads can come up with . . . We might as well start standing in line for parking passes now.

In fairness, as always, here's a peek at the recent Twitter collage making the rounds via www.TonysKansasCity.com screencaps . . .
