BOE LETTER BLASTS JACKSON COUNTY!!!

If there was any real journalism happening in Kansas City . . . This would have least made the local news and somebody who owns a decent suit might've started asking questions.

Instead . . . Per ushe . . . We'll blog it and hope that our betters take an interest.

The basics . . .

JACKSON COUNTY'S BOARD OF EQUALIZATION BLASTS ASSESSMENT DEPT. & COURTHOUSE LEADERS FOR INTERFERENCE WITH THEIR JOB!!!

A five page letter lays out their case . . . But we'll skip ahead and quote the conclusion which gets to the heart of the matter:

"Regrettably, it is apparent at this time that both the County and Assessment Department are not only attempting to circumvent the Jackson County Code but are also seemingly disregarding the Missouri State Code, specifically RSMO.138, which mandates the existence of a Board of Equalization.

"This observed deviation from established legal codes raises serious concerns about the commitment to upholding the principles that govern the BOE's role and function. The Board urges a return to adherence to both Jackson County Code and Missouri State Law to ensure the proper functioning and integrity of the BOE."

This one hit social media this week but honestly didn't garner much interest even if it should've.

So we'll share the letter for something that IMPACTS TENS OF THOUSANDS OF TAXPAYERS and is much more important than the big game on Sunday.
