TKC Playlist: Travis & Taylor Kaput If Chiefs Don't Win Super Bowl???

The Chiefs are headed to Buffalo as underdogs for Sunday's playoff showdown. That's not really bad news given the team has always played their best football against the odds.

However . . .

Tonight we consider that the game of love, campy marketing stunts and their logical conclusion.

To start . . .

Like so many ballers before him . . . Real estate might be the downfall of Travis Kelce . . . The Daily Mail tells us . . .

"Kelce had felt his former home wasn't befitting of someone dating a 12-time Grammy Award winner and decided to step it up to ease feeling 'self-conscious', the New York Post reported."

By now we all know what happened . . .

Kelce plunked down SIX MILLION BUCKS for  an EPIC local mansion that's probably too much house for a guy who (refreshingly) doesn't seem like he knows the difference betwixt a five star restaurant and Chipotle.

Here's more meanness from The Post that offers important perspective a glimpse at the future:

"There's no comparing the cozy confines of Kelce’s digs to his new flame Taylor Swift’s jaw-dropping $150 million real estate empire that stretches from coast to coast — and across the pond."

Accordingly . . .

TKC prediction . . .

When Taylor Swift is finished slumming with Travis Kelce she might just write a song about his lonely mansion and how she wouldn't/couldn't be trapped by it. We only wonder what actor will pretend to be sad boy Kelce in the video.

Double bonus points if the song is dance-able given that I'm still not convinced that Swift has any rhythm since they only show her from the waist up when she's moving . . . Figure out the math on that for yourself.

Anyhoo . . . The big picture regarding faux romance for this late night reflection . . .

Marriage isn't just declining in the U.S. but around the globe: Almost 90% of the world’s population now live in countries with falling marriage rates.

And so . . .

The stakes for tomorrow's game are not only the dynasty of the Kansas City Chiefs but also the fate of humanity.

Or at least that's enough to keep it interesting for more thoughtful plebs that make4s more sense than placing a stupid rigged bet.

And all of this inspires our www.TonysKansasCity.com playlist on the topic of love, money and the housing market . . .

From a KICK-ASS TKC READER . . . This song from Shooting Star sums up our thesis PERFECTLY and, even better, reminds us of Kansas City's best rock band deserves to be remembered & respected by music fans across the globe.

The House That Jack Built is underrated tribute to home building by the queen of soul and deserves another listen tonight . . .

Eric Burdon did his best work with War but "The House Of The Rising Sun" with The Animals provided a hint to pop music lovers that the left coast would eventually win the fight for American pop culture for better or worse.

Dredging through the video archives we're pleased to stumble upon this classic tune from The Commodores that defies so much progressive rhetoric regarding intersectionality with a booty shaking beat.

Finally, "Our House" from Madness is sentimental but still upbeat and provides just a bit of hope that the Chiefs will bring their latest & greatest Super Bowl run back to their home at Arrowhead.

As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe & fun Saturday night.
