The former Obama White House strategist went viral after tweeting during the Chiefs' game against the Cincinnati Bengals on New Year's Eve - which they ended up narrowly winning 25-17.
'At some point it has to be asked: is Taylor Swift killing the @Chiefs?' he wrote.
The analyst insisted on another tweet two hours later that his comment was not serious and that his wish for users who took it seriously was 'a sense of humor.'
He then wrote that Taylor is 'not a jinx' and wished the unhappy Swifities on X a Happy New Year.
