Some Kansas City Neighborhoods Suffer Two Weeks Without Trash Pickup

Only the TRUEST TKC KICK-ASS READERS know this but we've advocating "green solutions" for years inasmuch as we'd like to see compostable bikinis that debuted more than a decade ago.

But right now . . . We share a quick peek at the state of municipal services amid the winter of our discontent and as the mayor earns accolades and honors in our nation's capital . . .

City leaders have canceled trash and recycling pickup for the remainder of the week, affecting those who were supposed to have service Friday and Saturday.

Now trash and recycling will be on a normal pickup schedule starting Monday. Since Monday households saw their service canceled this week, they'll be able to leave out four bags this coming week.

Thursday and Friday households have now gone two weeks in a row without trash service, so those families will be able to leave out six bags next week.

Kansas City trash service delayed again due to dangerous temperatures

The city of Kansas City has delayed trash service again this Friday and Saturday due to frigid temperatures and dangerous wind chill.
