Lawyer Offers 'Mental Health Defense' In Trial Of Olathe East Suspect Shooter

The aftermath of a Johnson County school shooting incident involved a great deal of deplorable politicking that downplayed the injuries of gunfire victims and the bravery of a school resource officer in the midst of an alleged "ghost gun" scare.

Here's the latest update that has been downplayed by activists who have already moved on to other controversies . . .

Last week Carl Cornwall filed a notice with Johnson County Court. The notice says Cornwall plans to use a defense of mental disease or defect to argue Jaylon Elmore is not criminally responsible for the shooting.

Wednesday’s hearing is the first for Elmore since a judge appointed Cornwall to represent the former Olathe East High School student. Two other attorneys withdrew from the case in November.
