There's a couple things worth noting about this story . . .
It still seems to be counted as a homicide but notice the term "shooting death" is now part of the story.
Police to investigate the deadly incident . . . Here is the latest:
"KCPD Capt. Corey Carlisle confirmed the person of interest’s release but did not provide any other information on a motive, as the case is still under investigation.
"Officers say they were called to the area just after midnight Sunday for a medical emergency. When they arrived, they found Bartrom lying on the ground."
