Kansas City Mayor Q Pledges Half Million Bucks For Reparations Commish

Mary Sanchez has her numbers slightly off-kilter in this report . . . Here's the money line:

"Mayor Quinton Lucas has committed to proposing that the city approve $210,000 of the $510,000 requested by the reparations commission within the next 30 days, said Chair Terri E. Barnes, during the commission’s monthly meeting on Tuesday."

Actually at recent MLK day celebrations . . .

MAYOR Q PROMISED $500K AFTER URBAN LEADERS PRESSED HIM TO FULLY FUND KANSAS CITY'S SLAVERY REPARATIONS COMMISH!!!

Public TV news is playing low-ball with these numbers that, in and of themselves, are a move toward slavery reparations as part of Kansas City's taxation & revenue plans.

Again, TKC doesn't really have a complaint paying the fine or making trade with a few dumb jokes and a freebie pass for taco Tuesday to one of 3 Westside restaurants . . . HOWEVER, it seems unfair that local Cambodians or even Afghan refugees would have to pay given how much the U.S. screwed up their countries.
