For those who don't know . . .
Bill Tammeus is a former Kansas City Star columnist who now serves as the foremost scribe & blogger on the topic of faith & morals in the metro area.
His writing is often featured in the newspaper, local public news outlets and national faith community publications.
We've been thinking about "Faith Matters" blogging as of late and the current Holy Land war might provide a renaissance for all manner of content concerning politics & spirituality.

We haven't checked yet but there's no telling which side the Flying Spaghetti Monster supports in Gaza. However, thankfully, we're pretty sure that the deity is definitely a Chiefs fan.
But I digress . . .
For now we check the scribe's scorching hot take on Middle-East war which is/was, I guess, caused by the popularity of a former American game show host . . . And NOT thousands of years of ethnic religious groups fighting over scarce resources in a desert climate by way of hatred justified by an invisible ruler in the sky who, strangely, hasn't said much on the topic lately . . .
"One problem is that a shocking percentage of the American electorate in this putridly divisive political era seems to have lost track of what constitutes moral clarity. How else to explain how a man twice impeached and now defending himself in several courts on charges ranging from a sexual attack to insurrection against the U.S. has been, by far, the leading contender to be nominated for president by one of our country's two main political parties?
"If the democratic process has a serious flaw it's the willingness of voters to support knaves and fools. Which is not to say that knaves and fools don't sometimes get things right -- sort of like a stopped watch that's right twice a day. Or that they don't at least sometimes ask the right question."
