For those who don't know . . .

This coalition led by the Greater KC Chamber & The Civic Council represents the final word in local biz leadership. There is nobody else "bigger" in this cowtown and these interests have defined Kansas City politics throughout the modern era.

That's not opinion, just context.

And so . . .

KC CHAMBER, CIVIC COUNCIL & FRIENDS JUST PUT EVERY POLITICO ON NOTICE ABOUT THE STADIUM SALES TAX DEAL!!!

Here's the crux of their argument . . .

"The extension of the sales tax provides that the Chiefs and Royals 1) will not raise taxes 2) would sintead save hundreds of millions of dollar sfor the County, 3) are unequivocally committed to a strong Community Benefits Agreement, and 4) can bright transformational economic impact to our community for decades to come.

"With a unified voice that only grows by the day, we strongly urge the Jackson County Legislature to represent the interests of its citizens by placing this historic opportunity on the April 2nd ballot. At this critical crossroads, we invite the County to engage in this effort with "a sense of responsibility and collaboration."
