This note was sent our way and it's worth a look for two reasons . . .
First . . . It seems like our 2nd favorite JoCo blog pretending to be a newspaper isn't really doing much to challenge the status quo or justify his EPIC subscription price.
Secondly . . .
CHECK AN EPIC LEGAL COINCIDENCE AGAINST THE ODDS AS JOCO POLITICOS MEET CONSTITUENTS IN COURT RATHER THAN COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS!!!
Here's the word . . .
The SAME Johnson County Judge (the SAME one who oversaw the PV petitions in court) is also overseeing the lawsuit that Mayor David Waters filed against his residents (using their money of course) following a democratic process and demanding a vote on their public park sale.
Notice that nowhere in this article does it name Mayor David Waters. Also, when The JoCo Post writes, "The city, on the other hand, remains adamant that the state law is inapplicable, and is now calling for a district court to decide on the matter" she conveniently leaves out any details as to WHY the state law is inapplicable: you know, a FUNDAMENTAL fact related to this story. Complete journalism failure but then again the Johnson County Post has shown time and time again to be in the pocket of city and county leadership and NOT the residents or their readers.
This is where it gets interesting; See the chances of this same judge being "the decider" for BOTH of Mayor Waters cases where he sues residents petitioning for wanting a vote on issues.
A lawyer sent me this tonight on how the math works out with Waters getting Mason twice and we all know that this is MUCH MORE than a coincidence.
There are 23 district judges. Each case is supposed to be random. So one case. 1:23 Second case (diff plaintiff but city issue) same “random” judge 1:400 Simple math.
