Gunfire Kills 15-Year-Old Girl In Olathe

Once again, deadly violence reaches into otherwise peaceful communities and claims that life of a youngster.

Here are the basics of the tragic circumstances as police continue to investigate increasingly rougher local suburbs . . . Check-it:

Just before 11 p.m., the Olathe Police Department was notified that a 15-year-old girl had been driven to Olathe Medical Center with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Officers at the scene helped bring the teen into the hospital to receive treatment but she was declared dead.

It was later determined that the shooting happened in the 16900 block of West 127th Street.
