Once again we notice desperate circumstances for downtown living that contradict the image sold to most denizens inside the loop.

Also . . . 

Despite the outcry of activists, prompt evictions aren't always a bad thing and might have served to offer better protection for this youngster who lived in squalid conditions before his tragic death.

Here's tonight's report that deserves a look for anyone who hasn't seen it yet:

"On or about Nov. 27, 2023, it was discovered that a minor occupant of the Premises had fallen from a window after the window stops had been carelessly removed by the Defendant," according to the eviction filing.

The filing also alleges the unit where Grayson was living was "uninhabitable by the State due to very poor sanitary conditions."
