Debunking Arguments Against Jackson County Vote To Keep Royals & Chiefs

Actually, there's really just one question here . . .

SHOULD WE TRUST JACKSON COUNTY VOTERS WITH DECISIONS ON STADIUM TAXES???

Objectively . . .

Those who oppose the putting the decision on the ballot offer no details about a timeline for an agreement, more secretive backroom negotiations and even more time for political extortion from a vast array of activists and community leaders.

Again . . . We consider . . .

The teams have expressed hope of winning over voters.

The KC Chamber & Civic Council are leading a coalition of local business leaders in favor of this ballot issue.

Lee's Summit has signed on in support.

Local unions enthusiastically looking forward to more work amid an economic downturn and welcome the opportunity to convince voters.

And here's what opponents placing this ballot issue forget . . .

IF VOTERS DON'T LIKE THIS IDEA, THEY'RE FREE TO VOTE AGAINST IT!!!

That's how Democracy is supposed to work.

Instead, we're seeing a conspicuous effort to rig the process and leverage elected authority over obvious voter support for the team.

It's a cynical, undemocratic and exploitative move that plays middleman rather than elected representative.

We've listed a litany of local membership organization representing THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE. So far the opposition is mostly comprised of social media trolls and organized by the same bureaucrat who runs Exec Frank White behind the scenes. At this late date . . . Only a handful of people and no organized groups want to keep this issue way from voters.

Again . . .

www.TonysKansasCity.com isn't advocating for the stadiums or any tax . . . In fact, we're eager to blog opposition against it . . . We merely agree that the power over this decision belongs to VOTERS and not a handful of opportunistic politicos.

Developing .  . .
