TKC Playlist: Kansas City Chiefs Need To Break Up The Act In 2024

Nothing lasts forever.

And so . . .  As we approach 2024 we don't want to be afraid of inevitably/eventuality/fate and we merely want serve to prepare the kindly readers amongst our blog community.

Accordingly . . .

Here's something to consider that might be lost in the ongoing quest for Kansas City Super Bowl dynasty . . .

WIN OR LOSE: CONSIDER THAT IT'S PROBABLY TIME FOR KANSAS CITY CHIEFS TO "BREAK UP THE ACT" AND START PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE!!!

People who know football understand . . .

Coach Reid is now too old to run an NFL football team.

To her credit, Taylor Swift has aged Travis Kelce dramatically and he now resembles a middle-aged dude lumbering down the field. Yes, hes' a future hall of famer . . . NO, he's not one of the best in the game at this exit stage of his career.

And here's where things get tough . . .

IT'S TIME TO CONSIDER TRADING PATRICK MAHOMES GIVEN THAT HIS BEST PLAYING DAYS ARE BEHIND HIM AND THE NFL SEEMS TO HAVE FIGURED HIM OUT!!!

This is sacrilege for middle-class cowtown softie fans but let's not forget that the NFL stands for:

NOT FOR LONG.

Mahomes has earned a place in local history, he's an incredible player and seems like a nice person.

But he's also very pretty . . . Maybe too pretty for this cowtown.

Kansas City is one of the ugliest cities in the nation and Mahomes doesn't really fit in here . . . With the organization or with the people of this metro.

Mahomes would do well to coast for the rest of his career . . . Maybe win a couple more Super Bowls in some place classy like San Francisco or New York where more endorsements could feather the generational wealth of his nest.

Meanwhile . . .

Kansas City ALWAYS clings to the past far too long and that's why the "first to worst" journey is so painful. It has happened to the Royals twice and Chiefs are enduring this process right now.

Accordingly . . .

Our blog community suggests embracing a spirit of innovation and a clean start to the new year.

As they say in showbiz . . .

It's time to break up the act.

And yes, this also applies to the faux romance betwixt Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift.

It was fun while it lasted. But now, more than ever and going into what could be a critical election year in the history of the United States. It's time to drop the act and start over for the sake of our sanity, the Republic and all that is good & decent inasmuch as deceiving millions of people for too long is never a good look.

And all of this has inspired our www.TonysKansasCity.com playlist tonight . . .

Turns out Taylor's ovure is the best place to start . . .

This song takes us back to salad days of this blog and the break-up song is a bit "emo" but thankfully still holds up and should inspire everyone to have a bit of courage in breaking with the past.

This one-hit 80s wonder might be the most underrated break-up song ever written . . . It's upbeat, inspiring and optimistic and might provide a bit encouragement to move on . . .

An American standard of the modern era . . . "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor is disco classic which has given courage to more people than we could possibly imagine and it's still very dance-able, singable & encouraging.

Hallelujah written by Leonard Cohen is more than a song, it's a parable. A note from the songwriter:

 Meaning of "Hallelujah"

This world is full of conflicts and full of things that cannot be reconciled. But there are moments when we can reconcile and embrace the whole mess, and that's what I mean by 'Hallelujah.'

—Leonard Cohen

And still . . . I don't really like his version even if it speaks to our theme tonight . . . The eternal conflict bestowed upon us by the Creator, the science or whatever superstition helps you sleep at night: Mainly, that we can NEVER have our cake and eat it too.

But I digress . . .

Since it's the holidays . . . The hipsters of Pentatonix singing the tune is a bit more palatable and upbeat.

And if you made it this far . . . Thanks for reading this week and have a safe & fun Saturday night.
