KCPD Fights Worsening Northland Crime With Police Sting

Times are changing and the idea that middle-class residents can move away from crime is quickly becoming a thing of the past. 

Accordingly . . . 

At the end of this "season of stealing" check this tidbit detailing law enforcement push back . . .

"The sting involved marked and unmarked officers in Northland stores.

" 'They were able to get two arrests out of that. One of those arrests had a couple of felony warrants. The other arrest was a prolific shoplifter at that particular store,' KCPD Capt. Corey Carlisle said.

"The effort has helped police recover hundreds of stolen merchandise.

"Officers say porch pirates, car break-ins, and shoplifting are all growing problems. In fact, one Northland store reported 44 shoplifting cases to the police."
