Kansas City Star Overlooks Latino Representation On Police Board

In fact . . .

We'd rather witness KC's first Asian police board representative IF we're gonna act like every appointed body should look like the crew from the Starship Enterprise.

However . . .

Once again we watch the Kansas City Star overlook history and mistake this town as Black & White when recent census stats show us that's quickly changing . . . Check-it:

"Wouldn’t it be great if Parson looked at the existing board and added a new and different voice from another part of the community?

"Kansas City’s predominantly Black East Side is not represented on the five-member board that governs the city’s police department. Kansas Citians deserve equal representation on the police board."

The antiquated Board of Police Commissioners setup makes only one of its members accountable to the public. It must reflect the people.
