Kansas City Local Media Blackout On Native Headdress Face Paint Controversy

Okay . . . So we totally ran this one into the ground but it was a topic that garnered a great deal of interest and discussion EVEN IF it challenged popular conceptions about conservative support for cosplay and online discourse.

However . . .

An even more interesting dichotomy emerged amid our conversations . . .

NOTICE THAT KANSAS CITY LOCAL NEWS MEDIA MOSTLY IGNORED OR DOWNPLAYED THE FACE PAINT CRISIS DESPITE NATIONAL NEWS COVERAGE!!!

Skeptics amongst our ranks might ascribe the quietude to advertising connections  . . . And whilst we can't be certain about every editorial decision made by our corporate betters . . .

The only thing we know for sure is that silence will be a big part of the inevitable decision to change the team's name & dump native branding in the not so distant future. 

In the meantime, we think the arguments were important even if they weren't very productive.
