Kansas City 2023 Traditional Warning Against New Year's Gunfire

GUNFIRE TO RING IN THE NEW YEAR MIGHT BE KANSAS CITY'S STUPIDEST TRADITION!!! BASICALLY SHOOTERS SHOW THE WORLD THAT THEY DIDN'T LEARN ANYTHING THE YEAR YET REMAIN COMMITTED TO IGNORANCE, VIOLENCE & BLATANT DISREGARD FOR COMMUNITY!!!

The constant warnings never get much traction . . . Even amid stories about deadly tragedies because of dumb-ass celebratory shootings.

However . . .

We can only hope this year's messages will resonate given 2023 has been more deadly than any other in KCMO recorded history.

Here's the word that we can only hope might reach at last a few people wanting to make a small difference for the better . . .

Last year, on New Year’s Eve, KCPD took more than 420 calls from people who heard shots fired.

Sgt. Jake Becchina said unfortunately, it happens every year, and it’s something he’s very passionate about addressing.

“What goes up must come down,” Becchina said. “It comes down about the same rate as it’s fired out of the barrel of the gun.”
