Kansas City 2023 Homicide Count Stands At 173 & Trends Upward

Tonight local activist journalism caught our attention.

To the reporter's credit . . . The facts are correct and bring attention to the most important crisis confronting Kansas City . . . Even if street interviews aren't really our cup of tea.

Still . . .

The raw data should be enough to at least give locals a moment of pause and that's what we want to focus on right now . . . Here's the background:

"There have been 173 homicides in Kansas City this year. While the nation's homicide rate decreased, KCMO continued seeing a trend of violence. "

And that's the important part of this report that has been unanswered by locals on the street and elected leaders . . .

WHY ARE KANSAS CITY HOMICIDE NUMBERS MOVING HIGHER WHEN THE REST OF THE NATION'S CRIME STATS HAVE DECLINED!??!

We've asked this question before and so far we've only heard conspiracy theories or deafening silence from 12th & Oak . . . Nevertheless . . . A serious consideration of this town's trending deadly violence is demanded in order to save lives.
