The drama continues and there's more fighting ahead as Missouri leaders confront courthouse officials with lawsuits and scathing audits.

Here's a tactic that the plebs can use along with a caveat about payment that's still due in a few days:

"Both the Attorney General and the Missouri State Auditor point out that taxes must be paid by Dec. 31. State law is clear that interest and penalties will apply to late payments.

"But both offices believe taxpayers should consider “paying under protest.” This means you pay your bill but you officially contest your bill."
