Gladstone Chief Fred Farris said unregistered vehicles are one of the most common complaints to his department.

Farris said DMV closures lingering from the COVID pandemic should no longer be an excuse.

“It’s all over the place,” he said. “I think people are just finally fed up with seeing it. I'm tired of hearing about it.”

Missouri announced this week it is owed more than $78 million in fees related to expired tags.
