Angry Activists Accuse KCATA Of Lying About 'Zero Fare' Rollback

Right now we notice an activist call to action.

To wit . . .

THE SAME TWO DOZEN KCMO PROFESSIONAL PROTESTERS WHO ALSO PRETEND TO BE STAND UP KC & KC TENANTS WILL NOW SWITCH T-SHIRTS AND ADVOCATE FOR FREEBIE BUS RIDE ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE!!!

Actually, TKC admires this tactic if only because the activist t-shirt switcheroo will one day become part of Kansas City "social justice" folklore like that old school "who's on first" bit. 

Never mind that there are so many ways to advocate for low-income transit access for wokers beyond the "Zero Fare" nonsense that has only served to undermine public safety and turn so many buses into mobile homeless shelters.

Now . . . Check the call to action . . .

"When we met with KCATA staff to discuss our Better Buses campaign, they told us to our faces that this Wednesday's KCATA Board of Commissioners meeting would simply include a review of their private consultants' study on reinstating fare . . . …Now, agenda documents for the meeting show that the KCATA CEO is requesting the board authorize an implementation plan resulting in fares coming back starting in 2025. That is not 'inconsequential' as they led us to believe from our meeting."
