This week the downfall of Imperial Brewery might be making room for yet another home team option.
To wit . . .
KANSAS CITY ROYALS WOULD BE BETTER OFF BUILDING ON THE WESTSIDE OVER SKETCHY DOWNTOWN OR NKC OPTIONS!!!
Let's review our fact-based, data-drive and scientific reasoning . . .
- Southwest Blvd is quickly becoming one of the best entertainment districts in Kansas City WITHOUT taxpayer subsidy.
There's already a silly Ferris wheel and the carnival like atmosphere has better local food than any other local party place.
- The Westside has better traffic than both North KC and Downtown . . . AND there's now space for parking where Imperial Brewery once stood.
The JoCo highway runs right through this part of town and even toy train routes imagine an East/West connection going this way.
- Stadium development might serve as EXCELLENT KARMA for gentrification enthusiasts.
Elite locals, interlopers and all manner of AirBnB jerks moved here to ruin an otherwise quaint ethnic neighborhood. They were merciless in looting real estate and pushing locals away. Now, the battle to "maintain the integrity of The Westside" (lulz) has been lost . . . Therefore a stadium in the midst of organic development will capitalize on work already done by speculators.
Real talk . . . The Westside/Crossroads area already has people, fans built in whereas so many other developments are predicated mostly on developer fantasy.
In the final analysis, our www.TonysKansasCity.com blog community sees the Westside as a hopeful place deserving of more investment and so far the crusade to build a new Royals stadium has encountered nothing but doubt, frustration and scorn . . . So they might as well ruin this neighborhood, too.
Developing . . .
