Mean Jean Claps Back Against Guv Parson: 'I Know Every Fact Of This Case'

The Kansas City Star is quick to defend the Jackson County Prosecutor amid rising criticism and intensifying demands for Governor Parson to pardon a former KCPD detective after an appeal was denied.

However . . . This passage and quote from a morning editorial raises a longstanding objection . . .

Baker followed every aspect of the case from the moment of Lamb’s shooting. She knows what temperature it was that day, and why Lamb, who was backing into his basement garage when he was shot, could not physically have been holding a gun at the time DeValkenaere claims that he shot him in self-defense, to save the life of his partner, Troy Schwalm.

“I know every fact of this case,” Baker told me on Wednesday night . . .

If you don’t believe Baker’s team’s findings that the gun must have been planted, then maybe you will believe the downright blistering ruling of the three judges appointed by — my goodness, by Mike Parson — that the victim did not have a gun in his hand when he was shot.

Again . . .

CLEVER WORDING FROM KANSAS CITY STAR'S PULITZER WINNER OVERLOOKS DANGEROUS EVIDENCE TAMPERING ALLEGATIONS AGAINST POLICE!!!

Again . . .

No witness or evidence has ever been presented that KCPD planted a gun but sloppy reporting, irresponsible advocacy and local gossip has turned a Jackson County Prosecutor's office theory into fact.

Moreover . . . The ruling of a judge and the appeals court was more intensely focused on search and seizure rules rather than ballistic evidence . . . In fairness, this is one of many faults in the defense of the former KCPD detective as they were seemingly overwhelmed by the politically charged & racially motivated advocacy confronting their client.
