Nevertheless . . . Here's a peek at the process from behind a local paywall as yet another local "attraction" hopes to bleed taxpayer money for more than a decade .  . .

"A committee charged with overseeing the City Market is asking developers to submit ideas for how to redevelop the space now occupied by the Arabia Steamboat Museum. The museum, displaying goods an 1850s steamboat that sunk, has not renewed a lease that is up in 2026."
